|ENDING NOTES: The musical world lost Charles Tesh in December 2014. Charlie was always present at musical events leading slow jams, singing and telling stories. Charlie frequently visited long term care facilities sharing his talent. RIP our friend.
The musical world lost another great musician in April 2015. The Grammy Award winner and Blue Ridge Music Hall of Fame member Tut Taylor passed away unexpectedly.

The Lutheran Church of the Atonement, Brushy Mountain Road (Oakwoods Road) Wilkesboro will host "Appalachian Christmas - A Musical Celebration of Old Christmas, A Christmas Card to the Community". Free event, everyone welcome. Attendees are encouraged to bring non-parishable food as a donation to Wilkes County h.o.p.e. Ministry food bank. Wilkes Acoustic Folk Society Members and other musicians from the community will celebrate Epiphany with song and music of guitar, banjo, mandolin, harp, bagpipe, drum, hammered dulcimer, piano, organ, fiddle, and upright bass. Refreshments after the program.
