The Wilkes Acoustic Folk Society is now accepting applications for the 2023 Duncan-Elliott Memorial Scholarship to the Swannanoa Gathering at Warren Wilson College in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.

Steve Duncan and Rex Elliott made substantial contributions to Wilkes Acoustic Folk Society
Inc. and the preservation of our musical heritage. In 2004, the Board of Directors began honoring their memories by offering an annual scholarship to attend a music workshop at the prestigious Swannanoa Gathering at Warren Wilson College in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville, NC. The scholarship includes tuition for a week long workshop and lodging. The
recipient will be responsible for travel and meals.
*Note, applicants 16 years of age or younger must have an adult accompany them to the Gathering. This adult must be a minimum of 18 years of age and be responsible for his/her own fees.
